Edu-Gate Team Lead

- Lead and manage a team involved in the customization and implementation of the Edu-Gate application.
- Coordinate unit testing for modified and new systems.
- Oversee application implementation in client environments, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
- Ensure timely support to implementers upon requests from the PMO director.
- Provide feedback on team productivity and assist in day-to-day business operations.
- Define time-specific goals and key result areas (KRAs) for team members.
- Encourage and motivate the team to achieve common objectives.
- Identify areas for training and improvement for team members.
- Assist HR with the hiring process and new employee training.
- Communicate organizational and team strategies clearly.
- Generate and share detailed reports on team performance with sector managers.
- Coordinate client requirements, schedules, and activities for successful application customization.
- Provide troubleshooting and resolution for technical bugs and change requests (CRs).
- Research and evaluate the latest trends in Java application development.
- Develop modular and reusable code for efficient development cycles.
- Develop application specifications and ensure compliance with technical standards.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Root Cause Elimination (RCE) for recurring issues.
- Design and develop user interfaces for internet/intranet applications.
- Identify and fix application issues to ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment of customizations with customer requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- Java SE7 Certification.
- Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing Java applications.
- Proficiency in Java, Java SE, JDBC, and Servlet.
- Experience with JSF and frameworks such as PrimeFaces, MyBatis, and Hibernate.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle databases (10g/11g/12c) and SQL/PLSQL.
- Expertise in web servers (Tomcat, Oracle WebTier) and Java/Oracle platforms.
- Familiarity with HTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript.
- Experience with Java tools and popular web application frameworks.
