Contract Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Ability to develop and implement acquisition and contract strategies aligned with company policies and project goals.
  • Ensure all tenders, contracts, and variations are fully compliant with internal policies, procedures, and project execution requirements.
  • Lead the administration of EPC contracts, including managing contractor relationships, monitoring obligations, and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
  • Review contractor invoices, prepare progress payment certificates, manage cost forecasting, and evaluate change requests or extras.
  • Conduct site surveys, support system design, prepare specifications, and contribute to technical documentation and presentations.
  • Handle contractor queries and maintain an effective communication system to expedite responses with project management teams.
  • Manage internal reporting on all commercial/contractual matters and ensure deliverables are tracked and monitored using KPIs.

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 3 years of relevant experience in document management, contract administration, or project coordination
  • Strong understanding of document control systems, financial management (including budgeting and bid drafting), and compliance with legal and contractual requirements.
  • Proficient in organizing records, conducting data collection and analysis, and ensuring accurate documentation and contract execution.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, computer literacy, time management, and teamwork skills.
  • Skilled in handling internal and external correspondence, maintaining organized workflows, and supporting cross-functional teams efficiently.
