Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Coordinator

Core Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the CEO to develop M&E tools to design and track project evaluations.
  • Ensures that project targets, as outlined in donor agreements, are achievable, clearly defined, that all necessary systems are in place for their measurement.
  • Orients field staff to project indicators and ensures that all staff have a common understanding of how indicators are defined and are to be measured and reported.
  • Manage the collection of data, including baseline data through existing data collections, developing questionnaires, and quantitative and qualitative data collection.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
  • Draft sections of monthly and final reports which report on indicators and progress towards targets, including a clear explanation of any problems encountered in the monitoring and evaluation process and how these were addressed.
  • Works in close cooperation with other project components ensuring implementation of all project activities in the field.
  • Conduct research as needed for the development of projects and proposals.
  • Other duties as assigned by the CEO.

Qualification

  • BA in social science, political science, business, economics, statistics, international development, or related discipline.
  • At least three years of professional experience, with experience in program design and coordination, M&E, and international development.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
  • Proactively engaged in research and innovations in the field of M&E.
  • Experience with databases, document management, Excel, surveys, and presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate in formal and informal presentations with external funders and stakeholders.
  • Ability to perform in a high-energy environment, with a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work, including humility and the thoughtfulness to work effectively with others in a collaborative workspace.
  • Interest in gender, education, and working with marginalized populations.
