Core Responsibilities

  • Undergo training and gain an advanced understanding of the World of Letter’s flagship Work Ethics Curriculum.
  • Utilizing World of Letter’s curriculum, train and mentor unemployed women and youth on work ethics skills and employability program to ease their transition into the workforce.
  • Prepare a training plan that is sensitive to the needs of the beneficiaries, considering geographic location, gender-sensitivities, and the needs of the private sector, employing a diversity of training tools.
  • Prepare all aspects of the trainings, including logistics, materials, and necessary technology support.
  • Conduct face to face and/or online sessions with trainees monthly.
  • Establish a professional relationship with the trainees, acting as a mentor and advisor throughout the training period.
  • Evaluate the trainees based on their attitude, skills, and participation to ensure their transition into the workforce.

Qualification

  • BA in social science, political science, communications, business, international development, or related discipline.
  • Have conducted training within marginalized communities for at least five years.
  • Knowledge and skills of training methods, up-to-date with the latest developments and technologies for teaching and training, especially in adult education.
  • Certification as a trainer in soft skills, work ethics, or related life skills.
  • Well-developed leadership skills to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate workshops and trainees.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with trainees in an empathetic manner, respond constructively to questions and concerns, and lead a productive dialogue.
  • Ability to perform in a high-energy environment, with a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work, including humility and the thoughtfulness to work effectively with others in a collaborative workspace.
  • Interest in gender and working with marginalized populations.
  • Must be willing to work in Aqaba, Ma’an-Petra, Jerash, Ajloun, and Zerqa throughout the project.
