Develop and implement strategies to engage local communities in our programs and initiatives. Organize and attend community events, town hall meetings, and workshops to promote the organization’s work and mission.
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for various projects and events. Ensure that volunteers are appropriately matched with roles that suit their skills and interests.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, schools, local businesses, and other stakeholders to foster collaborations that enhance our impact.
Coordinate and support community engagement events, fundraising initiatives, and volunteer appreciation activities.
Serve as a primary contact for community inquiries, providing information about the organization and addressing questions or concerns. Work with the communications team to create outreach materials and social media content.
Track community engagement metrics, including volunteer hours, participation rates, and event attendance. Prepare regular reports to demonstrate the impact of community involvement.
Act as an advocate for the organization’s mission and values within the community, raising awareness of key issues and fostering a sense of collaboration.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in community outreach, volunteer management, or a similar role within the nonprofit sector.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse communities.
Experience in event planning, volunteer coordination, and partnership development.
Proficiency in using CRM systems and project management tools is a plus.
