Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the approved curriculum and learning objectives.
- Develop lesson plans that enhance students’ reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, and communication skills.
- Adapt teaching strategies and differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs and abilities.
- Create a positive, safe, and engaging English classroom environment through effective classroom management.
- Assess students’ English language proficiency and academic progress using various assessment methods.
- Prepare quizzes, tests, assignments, and provide timely feedback to support student improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student grades, attendance, and academic progress.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding students’ English performance, progress, attendance, and behavior.
- Integrate technology, digital resources, and innovative teaching methods to enhance language learning.
- Encourage students to develop confidence in using English for academic and real-life communication.
- Participate in school activities, events, committees, field trips, and professional development programs.
- Support curriculum development and improvement initiatives while implementing feedback from supervisors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in English Language, English Literature, English Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certificate/license issued by the Jordanian Ministry of Education.
- Previous experience teaching English in a school environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of English language teaching methods, curriculum planning, and assessment practices.
- Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in educational technology and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and support students with varying English proficiency levels.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and improving teaching practices.
