Responsibilities

  • Plan and oversee maintenance, facilities, and engineering activities across the Association’s buildings, schools, and assets.
  • Prepare annual project and maintenance plans, technical specifications, budgets, schedules, and tender documents.
  • Supervise construction, engineering, and facility improvement projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, budgets, contracts, and timelines.
  • Manage preventive, corrective, periodic, and emergency maintenance of building systems, equipment, HVAC, generators, water, and electrical/mechanical systems.
  • Monitor the operation, maintenance, and efficiency of solar energy systems and related contracts.
  • Manage the Asset Register, warranties, replacement plans, and facility records.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, civil defense, fire protection, and environmental requirements.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers, engineering offices, and government authorities.
  • Prepare maintenance, project, facility, and budget reports and monitor costs and KPIs.
  • Supervise the maintenance team and ensure effective allocation of work and resources.
  • Provide technical recommendations on procurement, maintenance, contractors, and engineering matters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electromechanical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in construction projects, facility management, and building maintenance, preferably in educational institutions.
  • CFM or PMP certification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of facility management, building systems, maintenance, and construction projects.
  • Knowledge of solar energy systems and renewable energy technologies.
  • Good understanding of safety, civil defense, procurement, and maintenance regulations.
  • Strong project management, planning, budgeting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance/project management software.
  • Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal.
