Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for raw materials, machinery, and project-related supplies.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Liaise with transport companies, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth logistics and timely delivery.
- Supervise and maintain accurate statistical and financial procurement records.
- Monitor inventory levels and administer stock control to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Ensure quality objectives and delivery deadlines are consistently met.
- Investigate procurement issues and troubleshoot operational problems effectively.
- Oversee order processing and ensure proper use of mechanical and IT systems.
- Prepare procurement budgets and monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
- Train, supervise, and appraise procurement staff.
- Develop and monitor staff rotas to ensure operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and finance teams to align procurement strategies with project requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, preferably within an Aluminium Fabrication Company.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, aluminium systems, and fabrication processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with procurement systems and order processing platforms.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Pleasant personality with strong communication abilities.
