Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end execution of sea freight import and export shipments (FCL & LCL).
- Supervise daily operations and ensure timely movement of cargo while maintaining service excellence.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, agents, customs brokers, and transportation providers to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor shipment status, resolve operational issues, and provide proactive updates to customers.
- Negotiate freight rates, service contracts, and agreements with shipping lines and suppliers.
- Prepare and review freight quotations and support commercial activities to secure new business opportunities.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs documents.
- Maintain compliance with local and international shipping regulations and company policies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and overseas agents.
- Lead, coach, and develop the sea freight team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
- Monitor department KPIs, operational costs, and profitability while identifying opportunities for process enhancement.
- Prepare regular operational and management reports.
- Manage customer complaints and implement corrective actions to improve service quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in sea freight operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and freight forwarding operations.
- Experience in managing import and export sea freight activities.
- Proficiency in freight forwarding systems and Microsoft Office applications.
