Responsibilities

  • Provide L1/L2 application support for telecom BSS solutions in the billing and customer care domain.
  • Manage incidents, defects, and service requests through full lifecycle resolution within SLA targets.
  • Operate and maintain BSS applications, trouble shooting functional and data-related issues.
  • Implement workarounds, corrective fixes, and resolve data inconsistencies in BSS systems.
  • Perform diagnostics and root-cause analysis of application and system issues.
  • Escalate issues to senior technical teams with required logs, technical evidence, and analysis documentation.
  • Execute and support billing runs, deployment activities, UAT cycles, and post-production validation.
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers and offshore/onshore teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on open, in-progress, and resolved tickets, highlighting risks, trends, and SLA compliance.
  • Support application maintenance, configuration updates, and operational activities across BSS environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional telecom operations and support teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Travel to customer sites when required and provide shift-based operational support coverage.

Qualifications

  • 1–4 years of experience in telecom BSS application support, CRM, or billing systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Hands-on knowledge of telecom BSS architecture, billing processes, and customer care systems.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases (MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments and basic Java/WebLogic concepts.
  • Familiarity with shell scripting for operational and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Understanding of ticketing workflows, SLA-driven support processes, and incident management.
  • Exposure to container and platform tools such as Docker or Rancher (preferred).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills in customer-facing support roles.
