Responsibilities
- Conduct internal audits of the Bank’s departments, branches, subsidiaries, and outsourced activities in Jordan in accordance with approved audit policies and programs.
- Assess compliance with the Bank’s policies, procedures, systems, regulations, and applicable laws, and identify any deviations or control weaknesses.
- Review compliance with the CRSA (Control Risk Self-Assessment) framework and assess the adequacy of related controls.
- Participate in preparing audit findings and reports in coordination with the direct manager.
- Follow up on previous audit findings and recommendations and ensure corrective actions are properly implemented.
- Review business procedures from an internal control perspective and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Perform special and surprise audit assignments as required and report the results to the direct manager.
- Identify and report potential risks and recommend appropriate measures to mitigate them.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and Banking, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience, preferably at least 1 year in Internal Audit.
- Basic knowledge of internal audit, internal controls, risk assessment, and banking operations.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and banking systems.
- Good analytical, logical-thinking, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to develop and improve work methods and meet deadlines.
- Good report-writing and documentation skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of English, including reading, writing, and verbal communication.
- Training or knowledge in Internal Audit fundamentals, financial analysis for auditing, banking and financial institutions, and internal audit report writing.
