Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies for setting up and efficiently operating PMOs within government organizations to improve project management processes and outcomes.
Provide oversight and governance for government projects and programs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and delivering value to the organization.
Apply industry-standard project management methodologies and frameworks to enhance project delivery, including but not limited to PMBOK, PRINCE2, and Agile.
Perform maturity assessments using the P3M3 framework to evaluate the current state of project and program management capabilities, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with government stakeholders, senior management, and project teams to ensure project success and facilitate effective communication.
Develop risk management strategies and processes to mitigate project and program risks, ensuring successful outcomes.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor project and program performance against established benchmarks and goals.
Develop and deliver training and mentoring programs to build the project management capabilities of government employees.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degrees or certifications in project management are a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on government projects and PMO establishment.
Strong familiarity with P3M3 or similar maturity assessment methodologies.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Proven ability to drive change and improve project management practices within government organizations.
