Responsibilities
Lead the strategic planning, design, and implementation of health programs, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals and community needs.
Supervise and mentor a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, providing technical guidance and capacity building.
Ensure programs are delivered in accordance with donor requirements, timelines, and budget constraints.
Collaborate with local health authorities, community leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure culturally appropriate and accessible healthcare.
Implement quality assurance measures to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of health interventions.
Develop and oversee program monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting on health outcomes.
Provide regular reports to the Program Director and donors, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
Identify training needs and provide capacity-building initiatives for local health workers, staff, and partners.
Facilitate workshops, seminars, and knowledge-sharing events to promote best practices in healthcare delivery.
Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years of experience in health program management, preferably within the NGO sector or in low-resource settings.
Experience working in humanitarian emergencies, development contexts, or with vulnerable populations.
Proven track record in managing multi-donor-funded health programs, including budgeting and reporting.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of public health issues, health system strengthening, and community-based health interventions.
Excellent project management skills, including program design, implementation, and M&E.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including donor reporting and stakeholder engagement.
Ability to work in cross-cultural environments and remote settings.
