Responsibilities
Define and execute the organization’s IT vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligned with overall business objectives and digital transformation goals.
Lead end-to-end delivery of IT initiatives, including planning, prioritization, system design, implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement.
Manage IT budgets and resources, ensuring cost efficiency, value realization, and alignment with strategic priorities.
Design, develop, and oversee scalable IT infrastructure, systems, applications, and data platforms to support business operations.
Evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation and modernize IT capabilities.
Lead vendor selection, contract negotiations, and service level management for hardware, software, and technology services.
Oversee IT operations, including system availability, user support, help desk services, training, and asset management.
Ensure data security, system reliability, disaster recovery, and business continuity across all IT platforms.
Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to assess technology needs, support automation, and enable digital initiatives.
Manage IT projects from inception to delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, quality standards, and SLAs are met.
Build, lead, and mentor IT teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
Provide regular updates to senior management on IT performance, risks, budgets, and strategic initiatives.
Ensure compliance with technology regulations, data privacy standards, and cybersecurity requirements.
Qualifications
Postgraduate Diploma (Bachelor’s degree plus 1–2 years diploma) or equivalent degree/certification in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, with 18+ years of total experience, including at least 7 years in a senior leadership role within the insurance industry.
Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, with additional relevant experience, including at least 7 years in a leadership role within the insurance industry.
Professional certifications in Insurance and/or Information Technology are preferred.
Proven experience leading large-scale IT transformations and enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
Strong project management and crisis management capabilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
