Senior Mechanical Engineer

- Prepares and supervises the preparation of mechanical engineering designs, drawings, specifications, schedules, quantity, and cost estimates for a wide range of new construction and maintenance improvement projects.
- Plans, schedules, and coordinates detailed phases of mechanical engineering work either as part of a
major project or for an entire project of a smaller scope. - Review contractors' mechanical submittals and works to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, for various construction projects.
- Ensure that mechanical designs comply with relevant building codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in codes and regulations and incorporate them into project designs.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to select vendors and materials for mechanical systems.
- Evaluate and recommend cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Develop and manage project budgets for mechanical systems.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of mechanical engineering milestones.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Significant experience in mechanical engineering within the construction industry.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
