Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the organization’s IT vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligned with overall business objectives and digital transformation goals.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of IT initiatives, including planning, prioritization, system design, implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage IT budgets and resources, ensuring cost efficiency, value realization, and alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Design, develop, and oversee scalable IT infrastructure, systems, applications, and data platforms to support business operations.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation and modernize IT capabilities.
  • Lead vendor selection, contract negotiations, and service level management for hardware, software, and technology services.
  • Oversee IT operations, including system availability, user support, help desk services, training, and asset management.
  • Ensure data security, system reliability, disaster recovery, and business continuity across all IT platforms.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to assess technology needs, support automation, and enable digital initiatives.
  • Manage IT projects from inception to delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, quality standards, and SLAs are met.
  • Build, lead, and mentor IT teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on IT performance, risks, budgets, and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with technology regulations, data privacy standards, and cybersecurity requirements.

 

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate Diploma (Bachelor’s degree plus 1–2 years diploma) or equivalent degree/certification in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, with 18+ years of total experience, including at least 7 years in a senior leadership role within the insurance industry.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, with additional relevant experience, including at least 7 years in a leadership role within the insurance industry.
  • Professional certifications in Insurance and/or Information Technology are preferred.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale IT transformations and enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
  • Strong project management and crisis management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • English language proficiency is required.
