Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify potential sellers through market research, networking, and using data-driven approaches. Reach out to these sellers, presenting the benefits of joining our platform.
  • Develop and deliver persuasive pitches tailored to each seller. Highlight the unique advantages of our marketplace, such as our customer reach, technological support, and growth opportunities.
  • Negotiate commission rates and other terms of partnership in a manner that is agreeable to both the seller and the company. Ensure that the terms are competitive and in line with industry standards.
  • Guide new sellers through the onboarding process. This includes assisting them with any necessary paperwork, explaining platform features, and ensuring they understand our operational procedures.
  • Work closely with sellers to ensure their products are listed on the platform. Offer advice on product presentation, descriptions, pricing, and categorization to maximize sales potential.
  • Regularly review seller performance on the platform. Provide feedback and support to help them optimize their sales and presence in the marketplace.
  • Keep abreast of market trends and competitor activities. Provide feedback to the internal teams to help shape the marketplace strategy and features.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in account management, sales, or a similar role, preferably in an e-commerce or online marketplace environment.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasive communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify market trends and seller opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
