Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance to all PMI and legal standards, policies, and guidelines related to Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability to prevent personnel, asset, or societal loss.
- Plan and perform tests and analysis (physical/chemical) on the quality of raw materials, tobacco, semi-finished, and finished products according to applicable procedures and analytical methods.
- Prepare and maintain logbooks according to QMS requirements.
- Perform tests and analysis in order to ensure the defined delivery KPIs.
- Propose cost efficiency-related initiatives and use the resources in a responsible manner to prevent instrument downtime.
- Communicate all useful information for the good flow of Quality processes to concerned colleagues and support teams in order to meet quality and productivity.
Qualifications
- Technical school (laboratory) or a Master's degree in Chemistry (or a related field) or equivalent skills demonstrated through experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in the laboratory field (experience in QA and/or the industrial field is a plus).
- Knowledge of international standards (ISO), advanced expertise in quality tools, root cause analysis, analytical skills, and statistical tools. Ability to convert data into actionable information with strong reporting skills.
- Fluent in English.
