Responsibilities
• Design and develop biomedical equipment and devices, such as artificial organs, prostheses,
instrumentation, medical information systems, and health management and care delivery
systems.
• Install, adjust, maintain, repair, or provide technical support for biomedical equipment.
• Evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical equipment.
• Conduct research, along with life scientists, chemists, and medical scientists, on the engineering
aspects of the biological systems of humans and animals.
• Develop models or computer simulations of human biobehavioral systems to obtain data for
measuring or controlling life processes.
• Collaborate with manufacturing staff on the implementation of new medical products.
• Train clinicians and other personnel on the proper use of biomedical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain accurate documentation of all work.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or
a related field.
• Proven experience in a biomedical engineering role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
• Strong understanding of medical device regulations and standards.
• Proficiency in using Computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
