Responsibilities:
- Prepare thorough lesson plans.
- Foster a supportive and equitable classroom environment that promotes student participation and engagement.
- Conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations to enhance the learning experience.
- Teach students proper laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
- Assess student progress through regular assignments, tests, and exams, and provide constructive feedback.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, written, and verbal communication abilities.
- Prepare students for science fairs and expos.
- Collaborate with parents and school administration to support student learning and development.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to stay updated with international curriculum developments and best practices in Chemistry and Science education.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
- Engage in extracurricular activities, such as clubs or school events, to enrich the
student experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 4-6 years of experience teaching Chemistry at the middle or high school level.
- Familiarity with the international curriculum framework (IB, AP, IGCSE).
- Strong knowledge of chemistry content and laboratory techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal communication.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Proficient in using educational technology, digital tools, and virtual learning platforms.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent multitasking skills.
- Familiarity with various teaching methodologies.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
