Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic communication plans to effectively communicate the organization's goals, activities, and impact.
Create engaging content for various channels including website, social media platforms, newsletters, press releases, and annual reports.
Manage the organization's social media presence, ensuring regular updates and engagement with followers.
Coordinate with internal teams to gather information and stories that highlight the impact of our programs.
Pitch stories to media outlets and build relationships with journalists to secure coverage for our initiatives.
Organize and coordinate events such as press conferences, fundraisers, and community outreach programs.
Maintain brand consistency across all communication channels by adhering to organizational guidelines.
Analyze communication strategies and campaigns to measure their effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations or a related field.
Prior experience working as a Communication Officer or in a similar role within an NGO or non-profit organization is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to create compelling content for different platforms including social media, website, and print materials.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Familiarity with various communication tools such as social media management platforms, email marketing software, etc.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
A passion for social causes and making a positive impact in the community.
Proficiency in graphic design and video editing software is a plus.
