Procurement Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Help Management in getting all the things the project needs, following the rules from the Government of Jordan.
  • Assist in creating procurement documents like requests for information, quotes, proposals, and bids, as well as notices for award and contract agreements.
  • Support committees that evaluate proposals to make sure the process goes smoothly and on time.
  • Manage contracts, making sure they follow the rules, dealing with problems, making changes to contracts, and handling complaints or disputes.
  • Keep the project's procurement plan updated, check how procurement is going, and work with the World Bank for advice and approvals.
  • Coordinate with the project's finance team and give them updates on procurement progress.
  • Work with the company's procurement team to make sure they follow the government's rules.
  • Keep a well-organized filing system for all approvals, contracts, changes to contracts, and what consultants deliver.

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of similar experience, preferably in the public sector or with international donor organizations.
  • Know the rules and processes for procurement.
  • Pay close attention to details.
  • Good at planning and organizing.
  • Can handle many tasks and work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Works well in a team.
  • Fluent in both English and Arabic (reading, speaking, and writing).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
