Responsibilities:
- Implement security of the network, data, and its storage and communication systems.
- Run regular checks on network and data security.
- Identify and act on opportunities to improve and update software and systems.
- Provide direction for IT team members.
- Identify opportunities for team training and skills advancement.
- Supervise daily operations of network and server infrastructure.
- Align IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements and goals.
- Manage IT budgets, forecast, handle cash flow, and enforce cost-effectiveness.
- Evaluate risk, developing network recovery and backup processes.
- Test, troubleshoot, and adjust information systems to operate effectively.
- Develop and implement IT policy and best practice guides for the organization.
- Design training programs and workshops for staff.
- Conduct regular system audits.
- Run and share regular operation system reports with senior staff.
- Oversee and determine timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages.
- Manage and report on the allocation of IT budget.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in technology or computer science.
- A minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience.
- Experience in programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring.
- Expertise with implementing, configuring, and testing solutions.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Strong creative and analytical thinking.
