Logistics Operations Lead

- Manage material handling, distribution, and inventory control to ensure smooth production and timely shipments.
- Lead and develop a team of logistics staff, ensuring safety, productivity, and performance standards.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and process streamlining in logistics operations.
- Work closely with production, supply chain, and inventory teams to align logistics activities with production schedules and demand.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards in logistics operations.
- Monitor KPIs and provide regular updates on logistics performance to senior management.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline logistics processes and reduce operational costs.
- Identify opportunities for automation, better material handling techniques, and process improvements.
- Implement best practices and drive initiatives to increase overall efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance logistics performance.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including material movements, shipping documents, and inventory reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Experience logistics or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills; proficiency in logistics software and MS Office.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and continuous improvement practices (Lean/Six Sigma is a plus).
