Senior MEP Systems Consultant

- Review MEP design documents, commissioning forms, procedures, and manuals; perform hands-on testing and inspections of MEP and control systems for both new and existing buildings.
- Lead pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities, including energy efficiency retrofits, ASHRAE 62.1 ventilation rate calculations, and troubleshooting via BAS and data loggers.
- Achieve commissioning objectives in line with Estidama, LEED, or other sustainability rating systems as per Owner Project Requirements (OPR).
- Prepare commissioning plans, field reports, evaluations, M&V reports, and retro-commissioning plans; maintain accurate project documentation and progress records.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to manage project scopes, timelines, and budgets; assist with turnover processes and punch list resolution.
- Conduct design reviews, recommend improvements, perform due diligence on subcontractor methods, and ensure high-quality and consistent project deliverables.
- Act as a technical leader, stay updated with industry advancements, contribute to methodology development, and deliver presentations to clients and management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or ICT; commissioning certification and LEED AP or PQP credentials are preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in MEP commissioning management across design, construction, energy evaluation, and commissioning processes.
- In-depth understanding of sustainability standards (LEED, Estidama, BREEAM, etc.), ASHRAE guidelines (especially Guideline 0), and relevant codes (Abu Dhabi Code, CMC, ASHRAE standards).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, lighting, control systems, TAB procedures, and Energy Pro; ability to evaluate and troubleshoot complex systems.
- Confident presence with clients, strong presentation and communication skills, and the ability to manage commissioning processes effectively in high-level meetings.
- Proven ability to lead teams, handle multiple large-scale projects, and deliver within budget and schedule while maintaining quality.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, self-motivated, capable of maintaining accurate documentation and performing quality checks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiar with site safety protocols and able to apply them in commissioning contexts.
