Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment and maintenance.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and timelines.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of projects and drive the implementation of best practices in code quality, architecture, and testing.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and the adoption of new technologies.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback, guidance, and career development support for team members.
- Manage technical debt to ensure long-term maintainability and scalability of the codebase.
- Drive the hiring process to grow the engineering team, ensuring the recruitment of top talent.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advocate for the adoption of new tools, technologies, and processes that enhance team productivity and product quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong technical background with experience in full stack development, preferably with modern frontend (e.g., React.js) and backend technologies.
- Proven experience managing and mentoring engineering teams, with a focus on creating a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools like Jira.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based environments.
