Responsibilities
- Writing and optimizing SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures, and functions to interact with Oracle databases.
- Developing applications using Oracle development tools, such as Oracle Forms, Oracle APEX (Application Express), and Oracle Application Server.
- Assisting with database performance tuning and optimization.
- Managing data migrations, backups, and recovery tasks.
- Identifying and resolving performance issues, bugs, or errors in applications that interact with the Oracle database.
- Working with database administrators (DBAs), system architects, and other developers to ensure the performance and scalability of applications.
- Collaborating with business analysts and end-users to gather requirements and implement changes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in working withOracle Database (versions like 11g, 12c, 19c, or Oracle Cloud Databases).
- Deep knowledge of SQL(Structured Query Language) for querying and managing databases.
- Strong understanding of datamodeling (e.g., Entity-Relationship models, normalization).
- Skills in identifying and resolving performance issues with SQLqueries, PL/SQL procedures, and overall database optimization.
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructureor Oracle Fusion Middleware can be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with tools like Gitor Subversion (SVN) for managing and versioning code.
- Understanding of operating systems such as Linux, Unix, or Windows.
