Networks and Information Security Engineer

- Maximize performance by troubleshooting network problems and outages and scheduling upgrades.
- Design, implement, and manage security solutions to protect network infrastructure.
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities and respond to security incidents.
- Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Configure network monitoring tools, like routers, switches, and firewalls against intrusions.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor backup and disaster recovery systems.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees.
- Prepare and present reports on security status and incident response activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-6 years of experience as a Network Security Engineer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards (e.g., COBIT, NIST).
- Experience with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly desirable.
