Responsibilities:
- Lead agricultural engineering teams.
- Supervise building projects, including land drainage, reclamation and irrigation.
- Assess the environmental impact of agricultural production methods.
- Use weather data and computer modeling to give advice on land use.
- Solve engineering problems, like designing vehicles for all ground and weather conditions.
- Test and install new equipment, like harvesters or crop sprayers.
- Plan service and repair programmes for machinery.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years’ of relevant experience.
- A bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering.
- Strong knowledge of plant types.
- Analytical thinking skills.
- Complex problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of engineering science and technology.
- Design skills and knowledge.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong leadership skills.
