Responsibilities
- Convert visual designs (often created by UX/UI designers) into functional code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Ensure that the website or web app is interactive, allowing users to interact with buttons, forms, and other elements seamlessly.
- Ensure that the site or app loads quickly and works efficiently on various devices and browsers.
- Make sure the website looks good and works well across different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.).
- Develop designs that adapt to various screen sizes, including mobile devices, tablets, and desktops.
- Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure that the frontend works smoothly with server-side systems.
- Test the application for usability and functionality, fixing bugs and issues as they arise.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in writing semantic, well-structured HTML to create web pages and apps.
- Ability to make websites mobile-friendly and adaptive to different screen sizes using media queriesand frameworks like Bootstrap.
- Knowledge of techniques to improve website performance, such as lazy loading, image compression, minification, and code splitting.
- Understanding how to interact with and consume RESTful APIs or GraphQL services to integrate dynamic content into frontend applications.
- miliarity with tools like Webpack, Parcel, or Gulpto bundle and optimize code.
- Ensuring that web pages work across multiple browsers and devices.
