Responsibilities
- Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of data systems in alignment with business needs.
- Maintain data governance policies and best practices to enhance data integrity and accessibility.
- Troubleshoot data inconsistencies and performance bottlenecks, implementing effective resolutions.
- Lead mentorship and knowledge-sharing initiatives, guiding junior team members and conducting technical reviews.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending best practices and improvements.
- Ensure all processes, standards, and conventions are followed in data engineering workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering, with expertise in:
o SQL, NoSQL, Columnar databases
o ETL tools (Talend, Camel) and scripting (Python, Bash)
o Event-driven architectures (Kafka, Spark, Airflow, NiFi)
o Data warehousing, reporting, and analytics solutions
o Data protection, access management, and compliance - Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus
