Responsibilities
- Lead the organization’s overall financial strategy and long-term financial planning.
- Act as the main financial advisor to the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and Audit Committees.
- Oversee strategic planning, forecasting, and investment strategies to support sustainable growth.
- Develop innovative funding models and partnerships to ensure long-term financial sustainability.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, including annual operational plans and multi-year projections.
- Oversee financial planning and analysis (FP&A), financial management, and cost modeling to guide decision-making.
- Monitor key financial KPIs, ratios, and overall organizational financial health.
- Present complex financial information clearly to executives, board members, and non-financial stakeholders.
- Support organizational transformation and change management through strong financial leadership.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of senior-level financial leadership experience, ideally in NGOs, international development, or the non-profit sector.
- Strong understanding of donor-funded projects, particularly with bilateral and multilateral agencies.
- Proven expertise in cost allocation, revenue modeling, and strategic financial planning.
- Strong presentation and communication skills at the executive and board level.
- Ability to simplify and communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in organizational transformation and financial change management.
