Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of backend systems and APIs.
- Define, implement, and uphold backend engineering best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
- Mentor and support backend engineers, fostering technical growth and excellence.
- Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and data/ML teams to translate requirements into scalable backend solutions.
- Ensure system performance, reliability, and security at scale.
- Drive improvements in CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and observability.
- Participate in roadmap planning, architectural reviews, and system design discussions.
- Research, evaluate, and integrate emerging technologies to enhance backend efficiency and innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript for backend development.
- Experience designing REST and/or GraphQL APIs and working with microservices architectures.
- Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, including data modeling principles.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, as well as containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proven track record of building secure, scalable, and high-performance backend systems.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile/Scrum workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
