Senior Commissioning Consultant

- Review design documents, commissioning forms, procedures, and manuals; perform hands-on testing and inspections of building systems for both new and existing facilities.
- Lead pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities, including system retrofits, ventilation rate assessments, and issue resolution using building automation tools and data loggers.
- Ensure commissioning objectives align with sustainability standards and owner project requirements.
- Develop commissioning plans, field reports, evaluations, measurement and verification reports, and retro-commission documentation; maintain accurate records of project progress.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to manage project scopes, timelines, and budgets; support project closeout and issue resolution.
- Conduct design reviews, recommend improvements, assess third-party methods, and ensure consistent, high-quality deliverables.
- Serve as a technical leader, stay informed on industry developments, contribute to best practice methodologies, and deliver client-facing presentations.
- Responsible for quality assurance throughout the Design and construction phase and verifying MEP system compliance with design parameters and client requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; certifications in commissioning and sustainability (e.g., LEED AP or equivalent) are preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in commissioning management across design, construction, and energy evaluation processes.
- Strong knowledge of sustainability frameworks, ventilation, and energy efficiency guidelines, and applicable industry codes and standards.
- Background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, specializing in overseeing and executing commissioning activities for MEP building systems—ensuring quality, efficiency, and sustainability compliance while coordinating with stakeholders and maintaining thorough project documentation.
- Proficient in building systems such as HVAC, lighting, and controls, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong presence in client settings, with excellent communication and presentation skills to lead high-level discussions and commissioning efforts.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple large-scale projects within defined timelines and budgets.
- Detail-oriented, self-driven, and organized, with strong documentation and quality assurance capabilities.
