Responsibilities
- Configure and install various network devices and services such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and implement QoS settings.
- Perform routine network maintenance, system upgrades, and apply service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
- Continuously monitor network performance, ensure system availability and reliability, and manage resource utilization, trends, and capacity planning.
- Select and implement security tools and policies in collaboration with the security team, and coordinate with vendors and IT personnel to resolve network-related issues.
- Provide Level 2/3 technical support, troubleshoot issues, and work within established configuration/change management policies to ensure smooth and approved changes to the network.
Qualifications
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Proven hands-on experience in network engineering, with a CCNP certification or higher (e.g., CCIE or CISSP is highly valued).
- Strong knowledge of key networking protocols such as IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, and QoS.
- Solid understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP models, essential for effective network design and troubleshooting.
- Practical experience using monitoring, diagnostic, and network analytics tools for performance assessment and issue resolution.
