Data Governance and Management Manager

- Lead and manage the organization’s data governance and data management framework.
- Ensure the implementation of approved data governance policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational strategies.
- Oversee data protection and personal data privacy initiatives across the organization.
- Monitor compliance with data management regulations, policies, and standards, including adherence to applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and communicate with relevant national and regulatory authorities regarding data governance matters.
- Develop and implement the organization’s data management strategy and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Manage strategic initiatives, prioritize projects, and oversee budgeting related to data governance and management activities.
- Review and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data governance, data quality, and data protection, and prepare periodic reports.
- Lead and guide data management specialists and provide professional direction and support.
- Participate in Data Governance Steering Committee meetings to present departmental achievements and obtain guidance and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in managerial or supervisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, data management, and data protection practices.
- Familiarity with organizational systems, regulations, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and operational frameworks.
- Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to data governance and privacy.
- Proficiency in using specialized technology systems and digital platforms.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience in project management and strategic planning.
- Professional certifications such as CDMP, PMP, or CIPM are preferred.
