Responsibilities 

  • Defines project requirements according to the PMO-established standards and Project Methodology
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for projects.
  • Facilitate the assessment and development of project control solutions used for planning, scheduling, and tracking projects through the integration of various Project Management tools.
  • Determine, monitor, and review all project economics including costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources, and risk
  • Work with management on project proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and schedules
  • Develop and maintain project or program plans. Track, analyze, and report performance and progress
  • Verify and document project results to formalize acceptance by the client. Ensure project records reflect final specifications, analysis of success, and effectiveness. Archive records from each phase of the project.
  • Identify potential risks. Develop plans for alternative strategies to avoid and minimize risk.
  • Develop quality management and assurance plan. Establish operational definitions and quality measures. Monitor results and ensure implementation of corrective action.
  • Lead, direct, and manage limited resources to accomplish project objectives on time, within budget, and to HIE/client expectations using standard project management tools, techniques, and methods. Provide direct client interface and ensure project delivery excellence.
  • Adhere to PMO guidelines, utilize PMO templates, adhere to PMO reporting requirements, attend audit meetings, and rectify non-compliances.
  • Establish procedures for the collection, storage, and distribution of information. Ensure information accessibility and capable use by stakeholders. Meet commitments and build trust. Develop positive working relationships.
  • Provide value-add contributions. Share knowledge in a timely manner to enable others to increase their effectiveness. Enhance communications across the enterprise. Remove barriers and bottlenecks by sharing knowledge.
  • Work within cross-functional teams and with external partners to gather and share information and build communications content effectively.
  • Coach and advise team members to accomplish project goals, meet established schedules, and resolve technical/operational issues.
  • Track and manage project economics including costs, budgets, resources, and risk.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems Management, Business Management, or related field.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent
  • At least Certified ITIL Foundation. ITIL Manager or Expert certification is desirable.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in project management or related areas with a focus on information technology, management, and policy, preferably gained from the healthcare industry.
