Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, design, and construction of healthcare projects, including new hospital builds, extensions, alterations, restorations, and conservation efforts, ensuring successful delivery from concept to completion.
- Lead the integration and coordination of electromechanical, structural, and architectural elements with medical equipment planning to ensure alignment with healthcare project goals.
- Select suitable materials and construction methods, ensuring compliance with safety standards, building codes, and environmental sustainability in healthcare design.
- Stay current on industry trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into healthcare architectural designs.
- Develop precise architectural drawings and models using CAD software and other design tools, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards in healthcare architecture.
- Conduct site visits to assess project feasibility, identify potential challenges, and gather critical information for design development.
- Review and approve design documents to ensure compliance with healthcare construction rules and requirements.
- Coordinate with construction teams during building phases to resolve design-related challenges specific to healthcare environments.
- Assess client needs to deliver sustainable, functional, and aesthetically appropriate designs for healthcare facilities.
- Ensure adherence to project budgets and timelines through revisions, progress tracking, and comprehensive project proposal development and presentation.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams throughout all construction phases.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent oral and written proficiency in English and Arabic.
- Strong understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations.
- Knowledge and awareness of Health & Safety standards in line with ISO 45001.
- BIM knowledge aligned with ISO 19650.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Studio, Photoshop, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
