Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all banking operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and service excellence.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that support the Bank's strategic objectives and sustainable growth.
  • Drive operational excellence through process optimization, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, Central Bank regulations, internal policies, and governance standards.
  • Strengthen operational risk management frameworks and internal control processes.
  • Monitor operational performance through KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to support strategic planning, business growth, and organizational transformation.
  • Oversee business continuity planning and operational resilience across all banking operations.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory authorities, auditors, and key external stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop senior operational teams while driving succession planning and talent development.
  • Oversee operational budgets, resource planning, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Enhance customer experience by improving operational processes across all banking channels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Banking, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) is highly preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, COBIT, ITIL, or Risk Management certifications are an advantage.
  • Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in the banking sector, primarily in Banking Operations.
  • At least 10 years of experience in senior executive leadership roles within a reputable bank.
  • Extensive experience managing large-scale banking operations in a regulated environment.
  • Proven track record in operational transformation, process improvement, and digital banking initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of retail banking, corporate banking, centralized operations, payments, trade finance, card operations, branch operations, and back-office functions.
  • Experience working with regulatory authorities and governance frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, strategic planning, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication skills in both Arabic and English.
