Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Routine Database Administration Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases.
- Monitor database performance, implementing performance tuning and optimization as necessary.
- Manage database storage, and capacity planning, and ensure database availability. o
- Handle database backups, restores, and recovery models.
- Expert in RAC, enterprise manager & grid control
- Oracle Enterprise Manager for perfume installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle Enterprise Manager.
- Perform routine tasks related to Oracle Enterprise Manager, including patching, upgrades, clone & backup.
- Business Intelligence and Reporting: Collaborate with BI teams to optimize the Oracle database for business intelligence needs.
- Provide technical expertise in the integration of Oracle BI tools, particularly OBIEE.
- Perform OAS patching, upgrading & cloning
- Oracle Data Integration o Administer, configure, and optimize Oracle
- Data Integrator (ODI) processes: ODI patching, backup, cloning
- Database Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain security protocols, ensuring data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Regularly audit database access and activity, addressing any unauthorized or suspicious activity.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement robust backup and recovery procedures.
- Regularly test disaster recovery plans, ensuring quick data restore capabilities in the event of failures.
- Collaboration & Documentation: hands training for all activities performed & knowledge transfer to APSR team.
- Document all activities & issues logging.
- Document all procedures (installation, upgrade, backup, patching, cloning, and monitoring).
