Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHS/Sustainability) management system in compliance with company standards, legal requirements, and best practices.
- Act as the site Sustainability expert and main point of contact, advising management, supervisors, and employees on EHS matters.
- Identify, assess, and control health, safety, and environmental risks through audits, inspections, incident investigations, and emergency preparedness.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS regulations, company requirements, and contractor standards.
- Plan, deliver, and improve Sustainability training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Monitor, analyze, and report Sustainability performance indicators, ensuring accuracy and timely communication to management.
- Integrate Sustainability requirements into projects, equipment, and facility changes, including waste, energy, and environmental improvement initiatives.
- Lead incident management, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continual improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred).
- Proper professional certification/qualification as required by local legislation.
- 1–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of EHS legal requirements and standards (ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001, ISO 50001).
- Fluency in English; local language is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
