Responsibilities
- Proven hands-on experience building or maintaining ledger systems, financial transaction platforms, or high-integrity transactional databases, preferably in fintech or payments environments.
- Strong understanding of double-entry accounting principles, financial workflows, reconciliation processes, and immutable transaction recording.
- Proficiency in Kotlin (preferred) or Java, with experience developing scalable backend services.
- Experience with high-performance databases and familiarity with TigerBeetle or similar financial-grade transaction engines
- Solid knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and high-throughput, low-latency designs.
- Experience with durable execution patterns such as sagas or workflow orchestration.
- Strong understanding of security best practices, data integrity, and financial system auditing requirements.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements for financial systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 4+ years of backend engineering experience, preferably in fintech, payments, banking, or financial infrastructure.
- Exposure to blockchain, digital assets, or distributed ledger technologies is a plus.
