Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Build, optimize, and maintain RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
- Continuously improve existing endpoints to reduce latency and enhance performance and scalability.
- Ensure backend systems are secure, resilient, and high performing.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features efficiently.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor team members to promote best engineering practices.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development using Python and Django (DRF).
- Strong experience in RESTful API design, database performance optimization, and scalable architectures.
- Hands-on experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MSSQL, or NoSQL.
- Proficiency with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Solid understanding of authentication, caching, and security best practices.
- Experience with Celery and background job processing.
- Exposure to monitoring and error-tracking tools such as Sentry.
- Experience scaling cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
