Develop, update, and implement a comprehensive communications and visibility strategy aligned with the organization’s mission and strategic goals.
Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels and materials.
Advise senior leadership on communication opportunities, reputational risks, and crisis communication responses.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local, national, and international media outlets.
Draft press releases, media statements, and press kits, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination.
Support advocacy initiatives through targeted communication campaigns tailored to specific audiences.
Oversee content creation for the website, social media platforms, e-newsletters, and digital campaigns.
Ensure digital platforms are consistently updated and compliant with branding and digital communication standards.
Monitor and analyze engagement metrics, recommending adjustments to enhance performance and reach.
Plan, coordinate, and manage the production of key publications, including annual reports, newsletters, brochures, and impact stories.
Ensure high quality of all print and digital materials, with strong visuals and compelling content.
Lead communications support for events (e.g. workshops, conferences, public campaigns), covering branding, media engagement, invitations, and post-event reporting.
Collaborate with program teams to produce communication materials for donors and partners, including reports, factsheets, and human-interest stories.
Ensure full compliance with donor visibility and branding requirements across all outputs and activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
At least 7 years of progressive experience in communications roles, ideally within NGOs or international development.
Proven experience in strategic communications, media engagement, publication management, and event coordination.
Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills in both English and Arabic.
Familiarity with donor branding and visibility guidelines (e.g. UN, EU, USAID, FCDO).
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
