Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Oracle database objects, including Views, Functions, Procedures, Packages, and Triggers
- Write, test, debug, and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL code.
- Analyze and improve SQL query and PL/SQL performance.
- Perform query optimization, execution-plan analysis, indexing, and troubleshooting of slow-running queries.
- Optimize indexes, joins, database statistics, and partitioning.
- Support database deployments, upgrades, and production issues.
- Collaborate with application-development teams on database integration requirements.
- Maintain technical documentation for database objects and processes.
- Use TFS for source control, work-item tracking, and release management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
- Strong experience with Oracle Database.
- Advanced knowledge of Views, Functions, Stored Procedures, Packages, Triggers, Cursors, and Exception Handling.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning, including query optimization, execution-plan analysis, indexing, and troubleshooting slow-running queries.
- Good understanding of indexes, Oracle Optimizer, statistics, joins, partitioning, and data modeling.
- Experience working with large databases and production environments.
- Experience using TFS for source control and task management.
- Experience using database development tools such as Toad for Oracle and DataGrip.
