Responsibilities
- Review and analyze business and functional requirements to identify testing needs and define appropriate test scenarios.
- Develop, prepare, maintain, and execute test cases and test data to ensure application quality and functionality.
- Perform manual and automated testing to validate software applications against business and technical requirements.
- Conduct functional, regression, and other relevant testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Identify, document, report, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution.
- Verify defect fixes and perform regression testing to ensure existing functionalities are not affected.
- Collaborate with developers, Business Analysts, and business stakeholders to investigate issues and improve application quality.
- Participate in test planning and preparation, ensuring adequate test coverage across different application functionalities.
- Support release validation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Maintain clear testing documentation, including test cases, test results, defect reports, and quality-related records.
- Identify potential quality risks and recommend improvements to testing processes and software reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
- Previous experience in the banking or financial services sector is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing.
- Strong knowledge of test case design, test execution, defect tracking, and regression testing.
- Experience testing banking applications, financial systems, or digital banking solutions is preferred.
- Good understanding of software development and testing lifecycles.
- Familiarity with testing tools and defect management systems.
- Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and release validation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure software quality and reliability.
