Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and ensure the accuracy of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Lead the group consolidation process, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of financial information from all subsidiaries.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements, management reports, board reports, and detailed variance analyses for executive management.
- Coordinate with subsidiaries, finance teams, external auditors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external and internal audits, ensuring audit readiness and timely resolution of audit findings.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory reporting requirements, accounting standards, and internal control frameworks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting processes, financial controls, and reporting automation.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex IFRS matters and support finance transformation initiatives.
- Support strategic financial analysis, special projects, and ad hoc reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification is required (CPA, CA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).
- 7–9 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, consolidation, and statutory reporting.
- Previous experience within a Big Four accounting firm is required.
- Experience within the insurance industry is required, with a strong understanding of insurance accounting, regulatory reporting, and industry-specific financial reporting requirements.
- Strong technical expertise in IFRS, including consolidation and financial statement preparation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight reporting deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial reporting and governance.
