Responsibilities
- Own and lead the overall technical architecture and direction across frontend, backend, data, cloud infrastructure, and hardware integrations.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions using modern full-stack technologies.
- Lead the technical team, provide mentorship, and contribute to team structure, recruitment, and development.
- Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions and communicate technical decisions and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay hands-on with software development by writing, reviewing, and improving code and resolving complex technical challenges.
- Design and evolve platform architecture integrating hardware and IoT devices with cloud-based software platforms.
- Develop and manage integrations with ERP, PLM, supply chain, and other enterprise systems.
- Establish and maintain software engineering standards, including coding standards, code reviews, technical planning, and delivery processes.
- Ensure system performance, security, scalability, and reliability across the technology stack.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to incident response and continuous improvement.
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and mentor technical team members as the engineering function grows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between technical strategy, product requirements, and business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of experience in software engineering, including at least 3 years in a senior technical leadership, principal engineering, or similar role.
- Strong hands-on full-stack development experience with React/TypeScript and Python/FastAPI.
- Proven experience designing and owning software architecture and technical direction for complex products or platforms.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native technologies and infrastructure, including AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience leading, mentoring, and scaling technical teams from small or early-stage environments.
- Ability to make independent technical decisions and effectively communicate technical concepts and trade-offs to business stakeholders.
- Experience with system performance, security, scalability, monitoring, and reliability.
- Experience integrating software platforms with ERP, PLM, supply chain, IoT, RFID, or similar enterprise technologies is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
